A search party will reassemble at 8 a.m. today at Menifee Market on Scott Road near Murrieta Road to continue the search for an 11-year-old autistic boy who has been missing since late Saturday or early Sunday.
The family of Terry Smith is forming the search party with members of the community -- many of whom have been out all night continuing to search. The 8 a.m. search party was announced on the Facebook page of Faithful Servants, a local group that assists those in need.
Terry's mother posted on Facebook that the boy is in need of medication. He was reported missing at 10:30 a.m. Sunday from his home in the 33000 block of Helen Lane, a rural area off Scott Road on the west side of Interstate 215. Terry, wearing blue basketball shorts, was last seen around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
According to sheriff's officials, officers from the Menifee Police Department joined a helicopter, tracking bloodhounds, and many volunteers searching the area.
Terry is 4-foot-8 and 76 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.
