For the month of August, and through the rest of the summer, the San Jacinto Valley Animal campus is offering free spay and neuter available to Riverside County residents. This service is made possible by the county Department of Animal Services through the use of grant funds. Beginning today, Monday, Aug. 5, anyone who has an appointment for surgery already scheduled will also receive the service free of cost.
The easiest way to book an appointment is through Animal Services' website or by calling the clinic at 951-791-3720. The Clinic is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
As quoted from the Riverside County Department of Animal services press release, "We heard a lot of positive comments about the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus during the Mountain Fire incident when we helped Idyllwild-area evacuees by caring for their pets," Director Robert Miller said. "Another thing we heard is that folks didn't know the shelter existed. We think this surgery special is a great way to help put the San Jacinto shelter on the map."
