Silver Fire Now at 14,000 Acres, 20 Percent Contained

The Silver Fire south of Banning has now covered about 14,000 acres and is 20 percent contained, according to Cal Fire officials. Five firefighters and one civilian have been injured. A total of 26 homes and one commercial structure has been destroyed.

The number of fire personnel fighting this fire has increased to 1,431.
