Workers began pouring the foundation on Friday for the McDonald's fast-food restaurant on the south side of Newport Road between Bradley Road and Winter Hawk Road in Menifee.
A construction foreman on site said the restaurant should be ready to open sometime this spring. It is being built just east of the Mobil service station and car wash.
