The City of Menifee has scheduled a public hearing for Jan. 30 for discussion regarding the extension of an emergency ordinance prohibiting hillside development.
The moratorium was issued Dec. 18 by the City Council. Council members expressed the desire to have more specific guidelines regarding building on hillsides in Menifee. On Jan. 8, the council issued a report required by the government regarding the issuance of permits for the purpose of grading or physically altering hillsides within the city limits.
The hearing will begin at 4 p.m. at City Hall, 29714 Haun Road.
