Menifee’s annual Independence Day celebration is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be held at Wheatfield Park, located at Menifee and La Piedra roads. Parking is available along Menifee Road, with limited parking across from the park in the dirt lot along La Piedra Road.
A parade down La Piedra Road kicks off the event at 5 p.m., and the celebration ends with a fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. To participate in the parade, call 951-377-6089.
Live music featuring the Hyjinx Band and Cloud is scheduled throughout the evening, and the Gale Webb’s Extreme Sports and Air show rounds out the entertainment. A free kids’ zone includes a jumper area and there’s a variety of food and crafts for sale.
