The meals are prepared for the homebound and disabled seniors in Menifee. These seniors are on the Reassurance Call list of seniors who receives telephone calls Monday through Friday to ensure they are safe and secure. Most of them do not leave their homes and the only communication is through the daily calls. Many of them do not have any family or the family lives to far away to be with them on Thanksgiving.
Donations of turkeys and the trimmings will be gladly be accepted. Volunteers are needed too, to take the meals to the homes of the seniors.
