All throughout Menifee, holiday decorations are springing up in the yards and on the houses of residents in preparation for Menifee's first Holiday House Decorating Contest.
Menifee 24/7 is partnering with the City of Menifee to encourage a festive atmosphere in the city during this wonderful time of year. Residents are invited to enter our Holiday House Decorating Contest, in which you could win a prize and be recognized both on Menifee 24/7 and at the Menifee Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Dec. 5. All you have to do is take a photo of the outside of your house with all the decorations, then email the photo with a description of your decorations and your address to menifee247info@gmail.com.
Houses will be judged the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 4, but you may email us whenever you're ready to enter the contest. At the Christmas Tree Lighting, winners will be announced in six categories:
Best in show: The house with the best overall presentation for the holiday season.
Most spiritual: A decorated house that best illustrates the spiritual aspect of the season.
Most humorous: Make us laugh and you might win this category!
Best use of lights: The house that shines above all others with its lighting effects.
Most festive: Capture the imagination and cheer of the holiday season and you're a potential winner here.
Community/block theme: Get together with your neighbors and decorate your block or community with a holiday theme. You could be the winner!
Remember, you must submit your contest entry in the form of an email to menifee247info@gmail.com with your name, a .jpg photo, description of your decorations and your complete address. Judging ends Dec. 4, so make sure you have entered before that day. Your house will be judged in what our judges determine is the most appropriate category or categories.
