Perris Teacher Booked on Suspicion of Intent to Seduce a Minor

A teacher at Lakeside Middle School in Perris was arrested Monday and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for sending harmful matter by text and Internet with the intent to seduce a minor, police said.

At approximately 3:12 p.m. Monday, deputies from the Perris Police Department responded to the Val Verde Unified School District campus in reference to a reported crime of Harmful Matter Sent with the Intent of Seduction of a Minor (288 (b)(1) of the California Penal Code). Jeffrey Rightmire, 41, of Murrieta was taken into custody.
