A Mission Viejo woman has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling more than $745,000 from her employer in Wildomar, police announced today.Celeste Avellana, 62, was arrested Tuesday following a seven-month investigation. Wildomar Police said that at the time of the embezzlement, Avellana was employed as a general partner at Potter and Schleuniger in Wildomar.
Avellana’s duties included the disbursement of funds to the general partners after receiving revenue from numerous rental properties within Los Angeles County. She was booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
